Tshipi Borwa mine is a shallow open-cast mine with an integrated ore processing plant located in the Kalahari Manganese Field (KMF) which is a 400 square kilometer deposit in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa.
Tshipi is not only the largest single manganese mine and exporter from South Africa but is also one of the five largest manganese ore exporters globally.
