Klein Tafelberg 4X4 (S Redelinghuys 15km)

Klein Tafelberg Training and Adventure Centre (KTAC) is an activity and accommodation
venue ideal for larger groups. Come enjoy the Sandveld, enjoy our comfortable
accommodation and beautiful scenery while adventuring on a hike, climb or time around
the pool. We also offer facilities for training.

About Us
We are located just over two hours from Cape Town and offer accommodation and
activities ideal for team building or team training events.

Come and enjoy beautiful views and lots of open space to help you fully recharge from life
in the city. If you are up for it, you can try some of our activities too.

We offer packages for larger groups and can facilitate training and activity days. Families
and smaller groups welcome.

THE CAMPSITES
Our camping sites cater for 4 people, x1 vehicle additional persons of Maximum 2 allowed at
additional charges.

THE GLAMPING SITES
We have equipped glamping tents that take care of all the basics, including linen (no
towels), your own braai, and fridge/freezer. If you don’t feel like camping or want to skip the
offloading and cleaning of your camping kit but still want to enjoy the outdoors at Klein
Tafelberg, you will enjoy a stay in our glamping tents.

Our glamping tents sleep 2 people.
Only 2 people per tent. We do allow +2 more if you bring your own tent or rent one from us.
This will be pitched outside the glamping tent. No more than x2 extra people.

THE CHALETS
Our chalets offer comfort while you can still enjoy nature, our open skies and beautiful
views. If you don’t feel like camping or want to skip making lists of what to pack, offloading,
and cleaning your camping kit afterward, you will enjoy the convenience of a stay in our
chalets. We have all the basics covered. Just arrive and relax in nature.

MOUNTAIN VIEWS SITES
Three rugged Mountain view campsites up on the mountain with amazing views. These sites
are for the very serious campers that like a challenging drive to the top of the mountain with
all your camping equipment. Go on an adventure and sleep under the stars!

Facilities
Our camping sites cater for 4 people, x1 vehicle
These sites offer beautiful views, but no ablution facilities or water. Fully off-grid.

Hiking Trail
Enjoy a leisurely 4.7/7.5km hike up to the mountain,
You might have to do some minor rock climbing to look at the magnificent views and caves
that it has to offer.
The hike will take you around 3 to 5 hours depending on your speed and how many times
you stop to take in the breath-taking scenery and make photographic memories.

4x4 Route
Voted by Drive out magazine as South Africa’s best 4×4 trail. Our guided 4X4 trail will take
you on a scenic 13-20km track depending on what routes are driven. The route varies from
grade 3 to grade 5, grade 3 being sandy obstacles and grade 5 being the Adoons rock routes
which will take you to magnificent viewpoints, paved with sandy fynbos covered slopes and
weathered sandstone formations.
The name “Sandveld” should come as no surprise as most of the route is made up of sand
trails with sections of mountain to venture over, making for a great challenge. Our
commitment is to ensure your safety and comfort and the best time you will ever have in
your 4×4.

AIRSOFT
If you’re sold on a game of airsoft and you happen to be in Cape Town, you’re in luck! Klein
Tafelberg has an incredible shooting range for you to get your shot steady, and several “kill
houses” that serve as airsoft fields.So, grab some friends and some of your favourite military
gear and head over to the Klein Tafelberg Training and Adventure Centre for an experience
you won’t forget.Variety of firearms and ammunition for rental or bring your own.

Mountain Climbing
Climbing at Klein Tafelberg is still developing and this new crag has potential for traditional-,
sport climbing and bouldering. A handful of routes have been opened, with a focus on
traditional climbing with more on the way. The rock at Klein Tafelberg is compact sandstone
with potential for excellent climbing and climbing is possible all year round.

Shooting Range
Our licensed shooting range is ideal for those wanting to keep their eye trained. We will also
offer safety first training in the near future (incl. self-defence). You can book this in advance.

Hiking
Get your legs working with a hike up and around our mountain. Explore the caves and
beautiful rock formations. The views will be worth it. We promise!

Climbing
If you are not an experienced rock climbing (we have a new and developing crag on the
mountain), you can always give our custom-built climbing wall a try!
4x4 Trail
Voted as one of South Africa's best and often featured in 4x4 magazines and online
forums. You can book this in advance.

Stargazing
We are based in the Sandveld with very little industries and development around. You will
be AMAZED at our nightsky! It is worth a visit just for that.
